Cookies Policy

1.Politics for using Cookies
This politics relates to cookies and the web pages operated by ACP Air Conditioning Products SRL, according to the European Decision 200/58/EC also regulated in Romania by OUG 13/2012 with the modification of the law no. 506/2004.

2.What are the Cookies?
A Cookie is a file of small dimensions, formed by letters and numbers, which is stored on the user’s computer, mobile terminal or other equipment on which the internet is accessed. The Cookie is installed by request made by a web-server to a browser (ex: Internet Explorer, Chrome) and it is completely “passive” (it does not contain software programmes, viruses or spyware and it cannot access the information on the user’s hard drive).

3.What are the Cookies used for?
These files make the recognition of the user’s terminal possible and the presentation of the contents in a relevant way, adapted to the user’s preferences. The Cookies offers the users a nice surfing experience and support the efforts of eMAG in offering comfortable services to the users: ex: – the preferences regarding the online confidentiality, the shopping basket or the relevant publicity. Also, they are used in preparation of some aggregated anonymous statistics which help us understand the way how a user beneficiates of our web pages, allowing the structure and contents improvement, excluding the personal identification of the user.

4.What Cookies do we use?
We use two types of Cookies: per session and fixed. The latter are temporary files which remain in the user’s terminal until the end of the session or closing the application (web browser). The fixed files remain on the user’s terminal for a period of time within the Cookie parameters or until they are manually erased by the user.

5.How are the Cookies used by this site?
A visit on this site can place the cookies for purposes of:
Cookies of site performance
Cookies of visit analysis
Cookies for geotargetting
Cookies for registration
Cookies for publicity
Cookies of the publicity suppliers

6.Do the Cookies contain personal information?
The Cookies themselves do not require personal information in order to be used and, in most of the cases, they do not personally identify the internet users. Personal information collected by means of the Cookies can be collected only to facilitate certain functionalities for the user. This data is encrypted in a way which makes the access of the people unauthorized by them impossible.

7.The erasure of the Cookies
In general, an application used for accessing the web pages allows the saving of Cookies on a terminal implicitly. These settings may be changed in such a way that the automatic administration of the Cookies is blocked by the web browser or that the user is informed every time when the Cookies are sent to their terminal. Detailed information about the possibility and ways of Cookie administration can be found in the application setting area (web browser). The limitation of the Cookie use may affect certain web page functionalities.

8.Why are the cookies important for the Internet?
The Cookies represent the central point of the efficient Internet functioning, helpful for the generation of a friendly surfing experience and being adapted to every user’s preferences and interests. Cookie refusal or deactivating may make some sites impossible to use.
Cookie refusal or deactivating does not mean that you will not receive publicity online – but il will not only be able to take account of your preferences and interests, highlighted by the surfing behavior.
Examples of important cookie uses (which do not need authentication of a user by means of an account):
Contents and services adapted to the user’s preferences– categories of products and services.
Offers adapted to the user’s interests – memorizing the passwords.
The retention of the protection filters for the children regarding the contents on the Internet (family, mode options, safe search functions).
Limitation of the advertisement broadcasting frequency – limitation of the advertisement broadcasting number for a certain user on a site.
Providing more relevant publicity for the user.
Measurement, optimization and de analytics characteristics– such as confirmation of a certain traffic level on a website, what type of contents is visualized and the way a user reaches a website (e.g. by browsers, directly, din other websites, etc). The websites run these analyses of their use to improve the sites for the users’ benefit.

9.Security and problems related to confidentiality
Cookies are NOT viruses! They use plain text formats. They are not made of pieces of code so that they can neither be run, not can be self-run. Therefore, they cannot duplicate or replicate on other networks in order to run themselves or replicate again. As they cannot have these functions, they cannot be considered viruses.
Cookies can still be used for negative purposes. As they store information about the users’ preferences and the surfing history, both on a certain site, and more other sites, the cookies can be used as a form of Spyware. Many anti-spyware products are aware of this fact and they constantly mark the cookies in order to be deleted within the delete/scanning anti-virus/anti-spyware procedures.
In general, the browsers have confidentiality settings integrated, which provide different levels of accepting cookies, validity period and automatic delete after the user has visited a certain site.

Other security aspects related to the cookies:
As the identity protection is quite valuable and represents every internet user’s right , it is indicated to know what potential problems the cookies can create. As by means of them information is transmitted constantly in both ways between the browser and the website, If an attacker or an unauthorised person interferes with the transmitting data path, the information contained by the cookie can be intercepted.
Although very rarely, this thing can happen if the browser is connected to the server using a non-encrypted network (e.g.: a WiFi non-secured network).
Other attacks based on cookies imply wrong cookie settings on servers. If a website does not require the browser to use only encrypted channels, the attackers can use this vulnerability to cheat on the browsers in order to send information by means of unsecured channels. The attackers use then the information for purposes of accessing certain sites in an unauthorized way. It is very important to be careful when choosing the most appropriate protection method for the personal information.

Advice for a safe and responsible surfing, based on cookies.
Due to their flexibility and the fact that the majority of the most visited and the biggest sites use cookies, these are almost inevitable. Cookie deactivation will not allow the user’s access to the most wide-spread and used sites such as Youtube, Gmail, Yahoo and others.
Take some advice which can assure you that you carelessly surf, but with the help of Cookies:
Customize your browser settings related to cookies in order to show a security level of using cookies comfortable for you.
If the cookies do not bother you, and you are the only person who is using the computer, you can set long expiry dates for storing the surfing history and personal access data.
If you share the access to a computer, you can take into consideration the browser setting in order to delete the individual surfing data every time you turn down the browser. This is a variant to access sites which place cookies and delete any visiting information when closing surfing session.
Install and update antispyware applications constantly.
Many of the applications of detecting and preventing spyware include detecting the attacks on the sites. Thus, they prevent the browser from accessing websites which could exploit the vulnerabilities of the browser or to download dangerous software.
Make sure that you have your browser always updated.
Many of the attacks based on cookies are carried out by exploring the weaknesses of the older versions of the browsers.
The Cookies are everywhere and cannot be avoided if you want to have access to the best and biggest sites on the Internet – local or international. With a clear understanding of their operation way and their benefits they offer, you can take necessary security action so that you can trustfully surf the internet.
Deactivation and refusal to receive cookies can make certain sites impracticable or difficult to visit and use. Also, the refusal to accept cookies does not mean that you will not receive/watch publicity online.
The setting within the browser is possible in order for these cookies not to be accepted any longer or you can set the browser not to accept the cookies from a certain site. But, for example, if you are not recorded using the cookies, you will not be able to leave comments.
